Our Mission & Model

Speechless is an ambitious feature-length film produced by CocoFilms Studio in partnership with Montreal’s Summit School, an institution dedicated to neurodiverse students. This project addresses a critical gap in the Canadian cultural landscape by placing a neurodiverse cast(comprised of students, their families, and educators)at the center of a high-production-value narrative.

The film utilizes a dual-aesthetic approach to represent cognitive diversity: high-definition live-action cinematography for the "Outer World" and stylized, papercraft-inspired visual effects to externalize the protagonist's "Inner World". Beyond its artistic merit, Speechless is a scalable educational resource. Our distribution model includes global licensing for schools and corporations, accompanied by a specialized Lesson and Sensitivity Pack designed to promote social cohesion and empathy.

This project operates on a unique social-enterprise model: 60% of all profits are returned directly to Summit School to fund future neurodiverse programming and initiatives. By supporting this production, people are investing in a sustainable cycle of inclusive job creation, Canadian-made educational content, and a pioneering framework for partnership between the private film sector and educational non-profits.
