The Beauty & the Brawn Awareness Screenwriting contest is developed to promote awareness and showcase professional or personal experiences from a unique and unconventional perspective. We accept scripts or essays about individuals that are breaking barriers and challenging stereotypes in their lives or industry. Our contest is open to all, and the individuals featured in the submitted script or essay may be of any gender, race, or age.

Entries for the Beauty & the Brawn Awareness Screenwriting contest may include all or one of the following themes:

•    Awareness – Highlighting unique and unexpected social, personal or industry experiences.
•    Breaking barriers – About individuals that are breaking barriers in their lives or industry.
•    Challenging stereotypes – About individuals that are challenging stereotypes in their lives or industry and         demonstrating that success is not defined by stereotypes.

The Beauty & the Brawn started with the Ahema project, a social initiative exploring and showcasing unconventional careers from a feminine perspective. As a social initiative, the aim of the Ahema project is to demonstrate to young girls and women that they can still be feminine and succeed in traditionally male dominated industries by presenting positive role models of all cultures to demonstrate that success is not defined by gender. The project also provides financial support to aspiring students through financial awards at selected educational institutions. With the Awareness Screenwriting contest, the Beauty & the Brawn goes beyond focusing on women in male dominated fields to encompass any individual and different experiences.
